About the Role:

As a Product Designer at Wave, you will play a crucial role in the product development lifecycle. Working collaboratively with fellow product designers, researchers, content strategists, product managers, engineers, and customer support, you will craft user-centered experiences that help micro business owners thrive by simplifying business financial management.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional product teams during discovery and iteration to deliver valuable solutions for our customers.
2. Contribute to the development and evolution of Wave's product strategy.
3. Follow and help improve Wave’s user-centric design principles and maintain our Design Systems libraries.
4. Prioritize discovery and delivery backlogs with the Product Manager and Engineer Lead.
5. Plan and execute research activities like user interviews, usability testing, and concept testing in partnership with the User Research Team.
6. Analyze research insights to develop hypotheses and explore solutions that balance user needs with business goals.
7. Create prototypes and mockups using our Design Systems, continuously testing and refining with users.
8. Facilitate design reviews with stakeholders, ensuring adherence to principles and guidelines.
9. Share work openly with the design team to gather feedback and improve solutions.

You'll thrive here if you possess:

1. 4+ years of professional experience designing for mobile and web apps, with strong fundamentals in experience and visual design.
2. Humility, openness to feedback, and collaborative spirit.
3. Experience conducting user research such as interviews, usability tests, and surveys; proficiency with Figma and prototyping tools.
4. A self-starting attitude and excellent communication skills, committed to high-quality work.
5. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across projects from discovery to delivery.
6. Knowledge of current design trends and when to innovate.
7. A user-centered approach to design decisions.
8. Experience in Fintech is a plus.
