The Global Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of spectacle lens products, from ideation to commercialization and phase-out. This role requires strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and market analysis to ensure products meet consumer needs, comply with regulations, and achieve commercial success globally.

Your role
  • Development of product strategies for existing and new portfolios, including market research to identify innovation opportunities in lens technology and design, as well as defining product specifications and managing the product lifecycle
  • Analysis of market trends and consumer needs to inform product positioning and pricing strategies, identification of target markets and segments, and monitoring of competitors to ensure differentiation
  • Serving as a liaison between global, regional, and country organizations while facilitating communication and coordination across departments to support product optimization
  • Assisting in the development of global commercialization plans to drive market success and sales growth, along with collaborating with marketing to create product messaging and promotional materials
  • Managing the budget for product initiatives and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success, as well as reporting product performance to senior management with strategic insights
  • Engaging with local product management and sales teams to gather feedback and ensure customer satisfaction, while supporting local teams in handling technical inquiries
  • Assisting in ensuring that all product developments comply with global and regional regulatory requirements, supporting legal and regulatory departments for existing products
Your profile
  • Completed degree in Optical or Scientific Studys
  • Advanced experience in product management, preferably within the eye care or medical device industry as well as project management or consulting experience in combination with good marketing & operational understanding
  • Ability to develop product strategies aligned with market trends and organizational goals, combined with analytical skills to interpret market data and customer insights, ensuring a consumer-centric approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across diverse departments, fostering good relationships with stakeholders and project teams, and effectively managing the product lifecycle within defined innovation and operational processes.
  • Understanding of commercialization processes and go-to-market strategies, proficiency in budget management and KPI tracking, and familiarity with global regulatory and legal requirements related to product development
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, face challenges creatively, run effective workshops, present initiatives to senior management, and demonstrate high responsibility, reliability, and self-motivation
  • Very good verbal and written English skills and the willingness to travel
