Global Product Engineer (gn) - MXDR for Microsoft Sentinel

The role

As SoftwareOne\'s Global Microsoft Center of Excellence, we identify new business opportunities and work closely with our strategic partner, Microsoft, to design innovative, efficient technology solutions. We stay ahead of technology trends, define best practices, and create architectures to accelerate solution delivery and provide faster time-to-value for our customers. Responsible for global delivery and (Pre-) sales, we define training and enablement requirements across 19 locations, impacting over a thousand employees. As a credible voice in the Microsoft space, we share our expertise at industry events and webinars.

The MXDR For Sentinel Engineer is responsible for the build and maintenance of the Managed Extended Detection & Response for Microsoft Sentinel service. They will work on implementing best practices, fixing problems, and innovating the product.

Primary responsibilities

• Product Build & Innovation: Lead the engineering efforts for the creation and improvements of the Managed Extended Detection & Response for Microsoft Sentinel service accelerating time-to-value for SoftwareOne customers.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaboration with Microsoft, including the realization of joint Security initiatives, ensure our service is at the cutting edge of technology and market needs.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with internal Centres of Excellence and service units to promote integration and synergy across our joined initiatives, ensuring a cohesive approach to solution development, architecture and delivery.
• Product & Delivery: Implement product strategies that align with our corporate goals, driving growth of the MXDR for Sentinel service increasing customer base and customer satisfaction.
• Delivery Excellence: Elevate our delivery efforts and innovate the product by being a trusted advisor, leading engineer, for strategic MXDR For Sentinel service.
• SoftwareOne Microsoft Portfolio Development: Champion the development of our SWO Microsoft 365 and Security Portfolio development, setting global delivery and engineering standards and integrating repeatable components to stay ahead of technological advancements.

What we need to see from you

• Long standing experience in building or delivering similar services based on Microsoft 365, Defender XDR or Microsoft Sentinel
• A track record of successful and failed projects, product and professional service offerings in the domain of Azure and Microsoft Security.
• Past, extensive, hands-on experience with multiple relevant technologies.
• Current hands-on experience with latest Azure and Microsoft Security technologies.
• Microsoft Certifications proving the theoretical knowledge, preferable SC-100, AZ-305, or AZ-400 or current equivalents
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with cutting-edge and legacy Security technologies for Threat protection and methodologies such as Defender, Sentinel, Copilot for Security, to name a few.

Technical skills:

• Understanding of Entra ID Identity (hybrid/cloud only).
• Microsoft Defender for 365
• Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps
• Microsoft Defender for Identity
• Microsoft Sentinel - configuring log sources. Creating workbooks. Creating Logic Apps for incident response.
• Microsoft Defender for Cloud – Defender for Servers and SQL Servers, deployment methods and Azure ARC integration

• Deep knowledge on Azure Architecture, Azure Governance, Azure Automation, Azure Lighthouse, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Resource Manager templates
• Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)
• Familiarity with Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence) for documentation and product management.
