Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Educational Sciences, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin invites applications for a postdoctoral position.
The position will commence on 1 October 2027. The applicant should be able to fully cover the subject of general studies in primary education (Sachunterricht) and its didactics both in teaching and in one of the two content‑related master’s specializations, preferably the area of natural sciences. A correspondingly relevant research profile with appropriate publication activity is required. Preferably this should be in the area of science, geography and/or technology‑related didactics in the field of primary education. Proven expertise in teaching‑learning research related to general studies in primary education is desirable.
A willingness to participate in the teacher training structures of Humboldt University at the institutional level (especially the Professional School of Education and the Commission for the Administration of the Degree Programme) is required, as is participation in the content and research design of the subject and degree programme (e.g. within the framework of Humboldt ProMINT). The same applies to a willingness to participate in academic self‑administration.
Applicants must meet the legal requirements for professorial appointments in accordance with § 100 of the “Berliner Hochschulgesetz” and here in particular also those of § 100(3) (three years of school experience or comparable practical experience).
