What we do
Hospitals without administrative overhead — that’s our vision.
To make it reality, we already take over the complete case billing process for our hospital clients today. This provides clinics with additional revenue and improved liquidity.
We combine our state-of-the-art, AI-powered software with the deep expertise of highly qualified medical coding specialists. Quality is always our top priority.
Why we need you
Software development at DAMEDIC is not just about writing code — it’s about creating experiences that truly resonate with our users and setting new standards in our industry.
As a Frontend Developer / Designer, you work closely with our medical coding specialists and product team to transform complex hospital data into intuitive workflows. Your work enables fast, confident decision-making and pushes our product forward — making medical documentation simpler, more efficient, and more accessible.
Where You Take Ownership
- You build intuitive, responsive user interfaces with React — always with a strong focus on usability, clarity, and efficiency.
- You collaborate directly with medical coders, observe real usage behavior, and derive concrete process and UI/UX improvements.
- You work closely with the backend team, define API requirements, and make smaller backend adjustments yourself when needed.
- You ensure high product quality through unit tests and end-to-end tests.
- You actively contribute to the continuous development of our product — with ideas, UX impulses, and refactoring initiatives.
Why us?
- Flexible work — remote or hybrid: Work from home, a coworking space, or (partially) from our office in Cologne. We provide maximum flexibility so work and life fit together smoothly.
- A team built on passion, respect, and real collaboration: You’ll join colleagues who support each other, communicate openly, and work together on real solutions. Mutual respect and team spirit truly matter to us.
- Impact from day one: You work on meaningful products with real influence. Your features shape how clinics handle coding and billing in the future. Ideas and improvements are welcomed — and taken seriously.
- Room to create and shape: You don’t just implement features — you actively shape processes, UI/UX, and technical structures. We want you to bring your expertise and take ownership.
- Growth and development: At DAMEDIC, you have room to grow — professionally, structurally, and in terms of responsibility. People who think ahead and help shape the company get a real stage here.
- Purpose-driven work: We help make healthcare more efficient. By reducing administrative workload, we enable clinics to focus on patient care rather than paperwork. Your work creates real societal impact.
A typical day at damedic
- 09:00 – Start your day by reviewing a recent usability testing session. You identify quick improvements and prioritize tasks based on user needs.
- 10:00 – Daily standup: You sync with a backend developer about required API adjustments and agree on a code review session.
- 10:15 – Focus time: You work on enhancing the search functionality across different types of patient documents.
- 13:00 – Lunch break.
- 14:00 – You continue your work from the morning. Over a short (digital) coffee with your backend colleague, you finalize details for the API update. Afterwards, you review a merge request.
- 16:00 – User testing with one of our internal coders — gathering feedback on a new feature.
- 17:00 – Wrap-up with our Product Owner: You discuss the current search functionality and turn the feedback into actionable tasks for tomorrow.
