About the role and the team

Join eBay’s Germany Finance team and help drive the financial performance of our Marketplaces business. In this role, you will collaborate with cross‑functional business partners, work with diverse data sources, and deliver actionable insights that support both operational execution and long‑term strategic decisions.

You will play a key role in financial planning, performance tracking, and ad‑hoc analysis in a fast‑paced, diverse environment. Through ownership of analyses and projects, you will develop a deep understanding of the business and contribute directly to decisions that help shape eBay’s growth in Germany.

What you will accomplish

• Own Month end close activities, Managing the budget & Forecast for the P&L of DE and European Central Markets and provide variance analysis.
• Build and maintain financial models especially for Trading & Monetization to support business & performance decisions.
• Partner with business functions and cross‑functional teams to optimize financial performance.
• Prepare executive‑ready financial narratives and presentations.
• Implement operational enhancements to improve efficiency via process optimization & leveraging AI.

What you will bring

• 2–3 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate finance, or Controllership.
• Fluent in English and German
• Experience in navigating across a matrixed organization.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment while balancing multiple priorities.
• Comfort using generative AI tools to assist with analysis and presentation development, demonstrating keen judgment to validate outputs.
• A process‑improvement mentality with the ability to identify manual workflows and replace them with scalable, well‑controlled solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Powerpoint) and Google Workspace
• High attention to detail, sound financial judgment, and understanding of data quality, governance
