Your future plans
The Field Service Group within RWE Gas E&O business team supports all our units in the UK, Netherlands and Germany with coordination of periodic inspections and break down maintenance activities.

Your home base can be agreed individually (in Germany or the Netherlands).

  • Responsible for the delivery of projects / break down maintenance Safety, to quality and compliance requirements and at agreed cost
  • Responsible for the day to day management of resource, tools and equipment required for project/break down maintenance delivery
  • You have knowledge and experience in machine maintenance of rotating equipment and long-term experience in working on rotating equipment at industrial sites or are interested in growing into this sector
  • You are comfortable with working in an intercultural and diverse environment
  • You are fluent in English (additionally Dutch or German are appreciated)
  • You have experience in SAP R3 and MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
  • You are highly motivated and ready to work independently and quality conscious
  • You like traveling to our locations in the Netherlands and Germany and working within international teams
  • Educated to HNC level or equivalent engineering discipline (e.g. technician, craftsmen master, college of applied science, Industriemechaniker or similar, Techniker, Meister, Ing. FH/Grad.) with significant industry experience in shaft line maintenance and overhaul activities and are interested in working on rotating equipment
  • A technical expert in their discipline area with detailed knowledge of the engineering and technical aspects of plant for which they are responsible
  • Experience of working in teams across a geographical diverse portfolio with strong people management & communication skills. A proven track record of high performance in a portfolio role
  • A strong understanding of the wider power generation process and how their discipline fits, not just technically but also from a process safety, operational and commercial perspective
  • Demonstrates the ability to deal with constantly changing priorities. Attention to detail is essential; methodical, innovative, numerate, analytical and well organised
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, regulations and directives
  • Values and behaviours – developing the business culture through engagement and encouragement with all staff within their teams and wider portfolio. Driving openness & collaboration at all levels
  • Broad understanding of key Process Safety issues such as Plant Modifications, HAZOP, SIL process, Safe Operating Limits and Pressure Systems Regulations
  • Ability to act as a Technical Officer for Contracts if required
