Zusammenfassung

A non-profit cancer organization in Rheinland-Pfalz is seeking an EU Project Manager to coordinate EU-funded projects in oncology. The Institut National du Cancer (INC, www.institutcancer.lu) is a non-profit association established on June 25, 2015. The INC’s mission is to contribute to the effective fight against cancer by ensuring that all cancer patients in Luxembourg have access to a structured and standardized clinical pathway, receive appropriate medical care, and help control healthcare costs in oncology. The INC currently plays a key role in implementing Luxembourg’s 2nd National Cancer Plan (2020-2026) and is actively involved in European initiatives that complement and strengthen these national efforts.

The INC is looking for a:

EU Project Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
  • Leading the coordination and implementation at the national/cross-border level of EU-funded projects in the field of oncology, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines and budgets
  • Promoting that EU initiatives are aligned with the activities of the National Cancer Plan (PNC2 2020-2026)
  • Engaging and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including European and national partners (e.g. clinical partners, research institutes, patient associations, Ministry of Health and Social Security/Directorate of Health,…)
  • Coordinating the activities at the national level through multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication across all project phases
  • Overseeing all aspects of grant compliance, including periodical reporting, financial management and adherence to EU funding guidelines (EU4Health/Mission Cancer/Horizon Europe actions)
  • Monitoring project progress, present synthetic updates to the INC management
  • Developping and implementing effective communication plans to disseminate project results to various audiences, including scientific communities, policymakers and the public
  • Contributing to other synergistic INC/activities
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree (Master, Bachelor, or similar) in a relevant field of expertise: e.g., life sciences, medicine/nursing/pharmacy, public health, social sciences
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in project management or any other relevant area (e.g., biomedical, clinical, public health), preferably with EU-funded projects
  • Knowledge of the healthcare sector and the hospital environment; knowledge of the quality management system or the certification system of hospitals is an asset
  • Knowledge of EU funding mechanisms and project lifecycle management
  • Self-motivated, reliable and solution-oriented mindset with good negotiation and communication skills, combined with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
  • Very good command of English and French and/or German; knowledge of Luxembourgish is an asset
  • Business trips in Luxembourg and in the EU are to be expected
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are mandatory
