As Electrical Installation Technician you will be responsible for powering up new racks in order to increase AWS server and network capacity (involves work on ATS\'s, PDC\'s and Catchers).

The role requires a highly driven, self-managed individual who can be trusted to plan the daily operations and travel between different locations within the city.

Responsibilities

• Setting and maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a world-class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure
• Driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metrics
• Enabling the operations organization to delivering 100% up-time on all customer supporting infrastructure
• Collaborating effectively with internal & external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers.
• Follow the standard operation procedures and track issues through appropriate entries into a Trouble Ticket system.
• Prioritise appropriately in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Perform the power up of all racks and rack based systems.
• Power whip preparation, installation and deployment.
• Perform system walkthroughs to verify proper installation of racks and updating of their related Monitoring Systems.

The role requires traveling between Data center sites and internationally if necessary.

Physical requirements

• Travel throughout Frankfurt in order to cover different locations on a daily basis.
• Work at heights and from ladders.
• Perform physical tasks on a daily basis.
• Work in a noisy environment with ear protection
• Wear personal protection equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

- Completed apprenticeship (Ausbildung) in electrical field or equivalent diploma
- Fluency in English
- Demonstrate strong technical ownership and problem-solving capabilities, with comprehensive IT proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite. Possesses proven theoretical knowledge and practical experience in electrical systems and applications.

Preferred Qualifications

- 1+ years of Data Center engineering experience or job-related experience
- Education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
