Job Description

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Consultant (Director level) based in Germany, responsible for the strategy, development and work winning into the German and European Clean Energy and Transmission & Distribution sector. The role focuses on the extensive opportunity that Turner & Townsend is pursuing in the German, European and global markets for Clean Energy and Transmission & Distribution. The role supports the European business in strategy and conversion of major projects and programmes, including positioning and leading teams for major bids/frameworks in the Transmission and Distribution sector, primarily in Germany and North-West Europe.

Responsibilities

• Support the European business in Strategy and conversion of Major Projects and Programmes.

• Position and lead teams for major bids and Frameworks in the Transmission & Distribution sector, with a focus on Germany and North‑West Europe.

• Drive work-winning activities and contribute to cross-border opportunities within the German and European markets.

Knowledge

• Experience and credibility in the electricity sector with current knowledge of Transmission & Distribution and Renewables. Experience in other energy transition sectors such as Hydrogen and/or CCUS is preferable.
• Established relationships with national and international clients and understanding of strategy, set-up and delivery of capital programs, including experience with major TSOs across Europe (preferably Germany). Experience with power generation and energy businesses will also be considered. Applicants who have worked for consulting firms with these clients/markets will also be considered.
• Track record leading teams and providing advice on complex projects across the electricity sector; experience across Project Management, PMO, capital delivery or major programs is preferred.
• Technical understanding of Project Management, Commercial Management and Project Controls; technical background in engineering.
• Ability to position and win major program bids and develop opportunities in line with the business plan.
• Candidates should expect and be able to travel throughout Germany and Europe to support the growth of our Energy business.
