Full Time, October 2025 – March 2026, Remote

Description

The Digital Organizer will be part of the Digital team, which mainly encompasses digital organizing, communications, email, paid ads and basebuilding, digital campaigning, p2p, and organic social media. This temporary role is focused on two main projects: the Rural Listening Project and Strategic Campaigns with additional work in other areas. The role will report directly to the Digital Manager and will be housed under the Digital team. This is a full-time position set to start October 1, 2025 and end March 31, 2026, with the possibility of an extension or more permanent position depending on funding and projects at that time.

Responsibilities

Data Management, Campaign Execution (50%)

  • Import, export, clean, parse, and format different data (surveys, polls, etc) in spreadsheets and our CRM (Everyaction).
  • Interconnect data among different platforms using Zapier, ensuring accuracy and data health.
  • Create, update, and manage events and other form types in Everyaction; create searches, make lists and tag data in Everyaction.
  • Work with page templates on WordPress to create event, action, and resource pages.
  • Setup and execute P2P texting campaigns, and broadcast emails.
  • Manage data segmentation across platforms, ensuring accurate tagging, source code tracking, and ongoing database maintenance.
  • Assist with email management and email content to different segments that engage supporters, drive action, and maintain a consistent organizational voice.
  • Design engaging creatives for ads and other uses, edit videos (add subtitles, transitions, animations) on Kapwing, Canva, Capcut, or similar platform.
  • Create and design digital marketing materials (graphics, flyers, social media assets, etc.) to support campaigns and outreach efforts.
  • Draft SMS and peer-to-peer (P2P) texting scripts that inspire action and strengthen supporter relationships.
  • Create, manage, and curate content for online groups and social channels specific to the project, fostering supporter engagement and community building.

Other (20%)

  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of digital actions (email, texting, social, petitions, etc.) to optimize engagement.
  • Jump in where needed to support rapid-response moments.
  • Other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications: Technical Skills

  • Experience and high level of comfort handling, cleaning, parsing, and connecting data within spreadsheets, databases (Everyaction), and other data sources.
  • Experience and high comfort level working in WordPress, embedding forms, responsive design (or ability to quickly learn this).
  • Experience and high comfort level working in Canva, Capcut, Kapwing or similar platforms to create engaging graphics, videos, or editing stills or video.
  • Experience and high level of comfort creating and sending out broadcast emails from a CRM; setting up and managing P2P texting campaigns.
  • Solid skills with Google Suite: gmail, calendar, docs, and sheets.
  • BONUS: experience managing and setting up paid ad campaigns on Meta or other platforms.

Qualifications: Soft Skills

  • Resourceful: expected to look for answers, attempt to figure things out before resorting to asking colleagues.
  • Quick learner: Is comfortable and able to quickly learn new tools, platforms, and processes and develop new processes when needed; train others.
  • Comfort learning new tools, systems, and processes (e.g. setting up P2P texting campaigns, making a new WordPress page, making and setting up action or event pages).
  • Excellent communicator: asks questions to clarify, probes, able to give and receive feedback.
  • Proactive and self starter: we don’t micromanage but do expect to know from you about your project timeline, delivery dates, and changes as they occur.
  • Awareness of your own strengths and non-strengths.
  • Experience working remotely with a distributed team.
  • Experience working with a values based and progressive nonprofit.

Other Details

  • The virtual office works Monday through Friday in the usual hours of 9am to 5pm, but as the team is scattered across several time zones, the expectation is that we’re all reachable and responding to team requests from 12pm EST to 5pm EST.
