Zusammenfassung

Volocopter GmbH is seeking a Development Quality Assurance Engineer to assure the quality of development activities in software, airborne electronic hardware, and systems. Ideal candidates will have at least 8 years of experience in quality assurance or design engineering within the aerospace industry, demonstrating strong communication and structured working skills in a fast-growing, innovative environment.

Development Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d)

We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter ( www.volocopter.com ).

Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

You will be responsible for assuring development activities in Software, Airborne Electronic Hardware and System level.

  • Assure development activities in Software, Airborne Electronic Hardware and System level.
  • Continuously improve the Design Processes
  • Directly Interact with the Design Teams to assure a smooth process flow
  • Organize & Perform Reviews and Audits.
  • Interface with team airworthiness and authority representatives as required
Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as Quality & Process Assurance Engineer or, Mechanical/Aircraft Design Engineer
  • Previous experience in Mechanical design and/or verification
  • Experienced in an aerospace environment.
  • Structured way of working and a high sense of accountability.
  • Team player with strong communication skills

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in SAE ARP4754A projects is beneficial
  • AGILE Experience is beneficial
  • Experience in AS9100 is beneficial
