At attocube systems, you will develop high-precision cryogenic systems that are used worldwide in cutting-edge research and high-tech applications. As a Development Engineer Cryogenic Systems, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team of experts and actively design systems that function reliably at just a few Kelvin - and are really fun to work on.
Your Responsibilities and Duties
- Taking on a key role within the cryogenics expert team, with responsibility for solving complex challenges in low-temperature and vacuum technology and actively shaping technical directions
- Driving the development of new cryogenic systems and the continuous advancement of the existing product portfolio
- Independently managing prototype development from initial concept through requirements engineering, build and testing to final verification
- Evaluating components and developing new approaches for functional testing at ultra-low temperatures (down to the mK range), including test design, setup, execution and analysis
- Rapid analysis and assessment of test results with a clear focus on quality, performance and operational reliability
- Accompanying systems from the concept phase through to series production, delivering measurable impact through own ideas and optimizations
- Close, pragmatic collaboration with electronics, software, production as well as product management and sales
- Optional involvement in on-site installations and commissioning at customer locations, with direct feedback from real-world applications
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Successfully completed studies in physics or a comparable scientific/technical subject
- Ideally several years of professional experience in the development of complex devices and/or a doctorate in a relevant field
- Sound expertise in measurement and cooling technology in the temperature range of a few Kelvin as well as in the operation of superconducting magnets
- Hands-on experience with vacuum and cryogenic systems, ideally through independent design, modification or repair of cryostats
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working, very good analytical skills
- Initial experience in project management rounds off your profile
- Enjoy working with colleagues in an international team and a desire for professional exchange at eye level
