A central role in the interdisciplinary development team, where you will drive the design and advancement of ultra-precise laser interferometer systems for future markets such as the semiconductor industry.
Technical product responsibility for the laser interferometers and close collaboration with the interdisciplinary development team, product management, production, and customer applications.
Independent development of solution concepts through feasibility analyses and experimental verification using self-built test setups in the laboratory.
Modeling of interferometric measurement principles and simulation of wave-optical effects or data processing.
Careful documentation and clear communication of your results within the team and to relevant stakeholders, e.g., through the creation of meaningful reports.
A methodical and structured approach to the product development process.
Continuous knowledge exchange at conferences and with research groups to integrate innovative approaches into the product roadmap.
A degree in Physics, Photonics, or a comparable field with a strong focus on optical metrology.
Several years of experience in industrial or research-oriented development of interferometric measurement techniques.
In-depth knowledge in areas such as (Lock-in) measurement techniques, (fiber) optics, optical metrology, physical system simulation, signal processing, complex algorithms, or FPGA-based embedded systems.
Practical experience in selecting and characterizing (electro-)optical components.
Proficiency with Python and MATLAB/Simulink.
Enjoyment of interdisciplinary teamwork combined with analytical thinking, conceptual strength, and an independent, meticulous working style.
Excellent written and spoken German or English skills.
