Overview
We are looking for a skilled professional to support our institutional development with a focus on fundraising and strategic partnerships. In collaboration with the Director, you will help expand our funding base, cultivate partnerships, and ensure that Callie’s remains a sustainable, dynamic space for artists. Additionally, the role involves program direction, overseeing public programming/event series organizationally, financially, and logistically in coordination with the Residency Coordinator and Director.
Responsibilities
- Institutional Development & Fundraising: Establish and maintain partnerships (local, national, and international institutions; funding bodies; commercial galleries) to secure financial support for residencies and programs.
- Identify and pursue project-specific and structural funding opportunities (grants, sponsorships, donor outreach).
- Lead proposal writing, budget drafting, and grant application processes in partnership with the Director and Office Administrator.
- Develop a network of commercial partners and agencies and partners to promote commercial rentals (photo/video shoots, workshops, private events).
- Rentals & Revenue Generation: Develop a network of agencies and partners to promote commercial rentals (photo/video shoots, workshops, private events).
Events & Programming
- Support the development and realization of public programming in collaboration with residents and the Residency Coordinator.
- Oversee the planning and execution of events, providing conceptual, logistical, and on-site leadership for key projects and larger event formats.
Residency Support
- Serve as a resource for residents on project development, conceptualization, and funding strategies.
- Assist the Residency Coordinator in responding to resident inquiries.
Communication, Visibility & Administration
- Support administrative processes related to international residents, including visa support and official correspondence.
- Act as an ambassador for Callie’s by building relationships with art professionals, artists, and the broader cultural community.
- Conduct tours for visitors, curators, students, and other guests in coordination with the Artistic Director and Residency Coordinator.
Profile
- Several years of experience in a cultural or arts institution with a focus on fundraising, development, or program management.
- Demonstrated success in cultivating partnerships and securing grants or sponsorships.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German proficiency a plus).
- A team-oriented working style and a genuine interest in supporting artists’ practices.
