JOIN OUR TEAM

As a Demand Planner at Westwing, you will join a collaborative team of Demand and Supply Planners, focusing primarily on demand forecasting. Your role will be crucial in enhancing our data-driven forecasting processes to support accurate planning and strategic decision-making. You will analyze historical sales data, monitor forecast performance, and collaborate with teams across Marketing, Sales, and Retail Campaigns to align forecasts with commercial strategies. Your insights will influence campaign planning, seasonal stock ordering, and inventory management, thereby improving forecast accuracy and supply chain efficiency. This position is unlimited and based in Munich.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  1. Own the forecasting logic and process for new SKUs and SKUs with limited sales history to ensure timely replenishment.
  2. Prepare and review demand forecasts across Permanent Selection SKUs, ensuring data accuracy and completeness for analysis.
  3. Validate baseline forecasts using historical data, trend analysis, and statistical models to establish a solid foundation for demand planning.
  4. Monitor forecast accuracy KPIs over replenishment lead times (MAPE, Bias, Rolling Forecast Error).
  5. Track seasonal events and promotions, adjusting forecasts in line with budgets and expectations.
  6. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams to gather input on demand uplifts and promotional plans.
  7. Contribute insights and updated forecasts to IBP and S&OP meetings, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
  8. Work with senior management to ensure forecasts support strategic and operational goals.
  9. Identify forecast deviations at the SKU level and generate insights to improve accuracy.
  10. Proactively suggest workflow improvements within demand planning processes.
YOU COME WITH
  1. Degree in supply chain, business analytics, statistics, economics, industrial engineering, or related field.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
  3. Strong understanding of demand planning principles and statistical forecasting techniques.
  4. Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of SQL is a plus.
  5. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  6. Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills.
  7. Ability to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  8. Fluency in English.
