Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Engineer with hands‑on experience in Rocket UniData , part of the MultiValue database family. The role involves maintaining and optimizing legacy UniData environments while enabling data accessibility, integration, and transformation across systems. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to modernize data pipelines, ensure data consistency, and support analytics use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data workflows using Rocket UniData
• Integrate UniData systems with modern platforms through APIs or ETL frameworks
• Translate legacy MultiValue data structures into accessible formats for analytics or reporting
• Work closely with developers, architects, and analysts to ensure accurate and consistent data delivery
• Participate in performance tuning and troubleshooting of UniData‑based applications
• Document data structures, schemas, and transformation logic

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands‑on experience working with Rocket UniData or other MultiValue databases (e.g., UniVerse)
• Strong understanding of MultiValue database concepts (dictionaries, dynamic arrays, etc.)
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, BASIC, or shell scripting
• Knowledge of integration techniques (REST APIs, flat files, etc.)
• Solid understanding of data modeling and database performance tuning
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
