A leading technology firm is looking for an experienced Data Architect to work remotely. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience with strong SQL skills and expertise in data model architecture. You will be responsible for designing data models and implementing best practices related to performance, security, and governance. Knowledge of financial domains and cloud architectures is desirable. This is a long-term engagement without visa transfer options.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 10+ Years of Experience as a Data Architect with strong SQL skills.
• Strong hands on experience with Data Model Architecture
• Expert in designing data models, building views from tables loaded through ETL
• Solid understanding of database architecture – Relational models, replication strategies, SQL with 1 or more major database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Postgres, MySQL), Indexing, Tuning queries, Partitioning
• Ability to understand functional requirements, profile multiple data sources and define the right data model that can be used for reporting
• Extensive experience with operational data management disciplines, principles and practices such as Master Data Management, Metadata Management, and Data Quality Management
• Knowledge of cloud based architectures (Redshift, BigQuery, Azure SQL, Databricks), SaaS, PaaS including cloud migration strategies
• Implement best practices for Performance, Security, Scalability, and Availability (Data Governance)
• Write technical documentation that explains the rationale/logic behind a data model proposal
• Ability to design logical/physical BI models using Visio or other software
