Key Responsibilities

• Support financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities in close cooperation with internal departments (e.g. Engineering, Crewing, Chartering)
• Prepare monthly management reports including variance analyses
• Support liquidity planning and cash flow monitoring
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closings in collaboration with accounting
• Conduct profitability analyses, business cases, and ad‑hoc financial analyses
• Maintain and further develop controlling tools, reports, and KPI dashboards
• Contribute to the optimization and partial automation of controlling and reporting processes
• Prepare financial analyses and presentations for internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Degree in economics, finance, controlling, or a comparable qualification
• 2–4 years of professional experience in controlling, finance, or audit/consulting
• Ideally initial experience in an international environment, preferably in the shipping industry
• Strong analytical skills and high numerical affinity
• Proficient in MS Office (Microsoft 365), especially Excel
• Fluent in English and German
