We are currently recruiting for a Construction Superintendent / Construction Manager to be placed in Schkopau, Germany and would be on a 12-month contract with the view to this moving into a permanent position. The Construction Superintendent / Construction Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating new construction and remodeling activities on construction sites in chemical production facilities, as well as overseeing any electrical and instrumentation facilities or buildings present at the industrial site.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance with health and safety as well as safety and quality guidelines
• Responsibility for the coordination of all construction activities in the field of electrical engineering, measurement, control and regulation
• Management of the personnel of the external installation companies
• Monitoring construction site activities and project progress
• Monitoring compliance with quality standards
• Monitoring adherence to deadlines
• Checking measurements / invoice verification
• Supporting the engineering departments in the preparation of the construction phase, e.g. participation in assembly and feasibility studies, preparation of cost estimates

Skills / Qualifications

• Technician or completed studies in the technical field
• Several years of professional experience in the field
• Experience on construction sites
• Good knowledge of Word
• Good knowledge of German and English
