Opportunity

As an EY SAP Technology Presales you directly help EY & clients with highly efficient, optimized and precise pursuit proposals that leverage EY’s Technology assets and capabilities to transform and manage their business.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Interaction: Harvest requirements from the client and translate them into a solution that meets objectives and principles agreed with the client. Lead the technology aspect of the pursuit team and serve as a liaison among business partners, delivery leadership and pursuit stakeholders.
• Pursuit Shaping: Lead the architecture and solution design lifecycle for mid to large scale pursuits. Provide technical guidance, ascertain delivery possibilities and costs for critical business solution implementations through EY Technology products, tools and processes.
• Technology Presales Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Product Owners (SAP Technology Officers and Product Managers), Business Owners, EY SAP Delivery Teams and Global Delivery Services. Envision, design and develop the pursuit response with a focus on EY’s SAP delivery and technology capabilities. Address technology gaps through established channels such as innovation and product capabilities.

Essential Functions of the Job

• Presales / Pursuit Architecture & Solutioning for mid to large scale pursuits.
• Thought leadership of a Technology Presales Architect during deal development, pursuit and close phases.
• Deep understanding of SAP Technology and EY’s SAP drivers, products, tools and processes to deliver value additive solutions.
• Establish Presales standards, guidelines and procedures to increase the success rate of client pursuits for EY overall and the EY SAP alliance.
• End‑to‑end solution architecture aligned with overall EA and IT roadmap for specific clients.
• Shape RFP responses and bring incisive insights from technology experience.
• Document pursuit and deal architecture and technology roadmaps using architecture tooling and reference models.
• Collaborate with Technology Product Teams to influence product backlogs and priorities according to presales engagement findings.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Industry solutions and products knowledge.
• Technical background in deal development, architecture and strategy or experience with a technology start‑up.
• Experience on large scale multi‑technology data analytics deals.
• All‑round expertise in Applications, Infrastructure, Digital and Security.
• Architecture experience in technical, data, application and integration.
• RFP response shaping and solution write‑up for client presentations.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Business acumen with strong customer relationship building capability.
• Technical risk identification and mitigation strategy development.
• Portfolio management awareness.
• Organized, methodical and detail oriented.
• Leadership, negotiating and influence skills.

Other Requirements

• Influence without authority as an individual contributor.
• Strong experience in offshore/onsite working model and cross‑geography collaboration.
• Desirable certifications or experience in Agile Delivery and DevOps.
• TOGAF or IASA architectural training or certifications.
• Service management framework knowledge (ITIL V3/V4).
• Regular international and domestic travel.
