CFO – PE Backed Technology Scale-up – Germany

We’re excited to have partnered exclusively with a top European private equity fund to find the first CFO for one of their fastest growing technology businesses, based in Germany.

Following significant PE backing, they’ve grown into a global leader in their space, with projects spanning more than 30 countries and long-term partnerships that are solving worldwide sustainability challenges.

Key responsibilities:

The CFO will lead on all financial aspects of the business, reporting directly to their CEO and leading the overall finance function.

• Responsible for driving the future growth of the business
• Strategic partner to the CEO and wider leadership team to support on commercial initiatives and long-term strategic planning (including exit planning)
• Leading on future fundraising projects
• Support their international expansion
• Continuous process improvement and automation to enable the business to scale
• Stakeholder management with the PE investors
• Own and continually develop KPI reporting and analysis of key metrics
• Identifying performance gaps and areas for potential improvement

Requirements:

• CFO experience in a fast growth start-up or scale-up
• Highly commercially astute
• Ability to become a strategic partner to the co-founders
• Excellent communicator with the ability to present well both internally and externally

Location: Saarland, Germany HQ (hybrid working model)
