Business Development Representative - ESG - DACH Market (m/f/x)

This Business Development Representative role focuses on ESG, specifically in osapiens’ product area: Business Partner Transparency. Through the osapiens HUB, we position ourselves at the forefront of the sustainability movement, enabling companies to fully comply with the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act and the Whistleblower Directive, calculate their corporate carbon footprint, and prepare for compliance with the upcoming Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.

As a Business Development Representative at osapiens, you will be championing lead generation initiatives within the realm of corporate sustainability for the DACH market. By researching target companies, initiating product pitches, and nurturing qualified leads, we aim to expand our reach and empower organisations to embrace sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify, and acquire high–potential leads to drive business growth.
  • Utilise various prospecting methods, including networking events, online platforms, and industry publications, to uncover new leads.
  • Customise messaging to resonate with the specific needs and pain points of each prospect.
  • Implement strategic timing for outreach efforts to maximise engagement and response rates.
  • Provide timely and personalised follow–up communication to nurture leads and maintain their interest.
  • Collaborate closely with the Account Executive team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads into the sales pipeline.
  • Continuously update and maintain accurate records of all interactions and activities in the CRM system.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 1‑3 years of relevant work experience in business development and/or lead generation for targeted outreach activities focused on new customer acquisition
  • Proven experience in the DACH market, including an understanding of industry dynamics, customer behavior, and market entry strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills that allow you to communicate with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and openness to work in our international environment, combined with your outgoing nature.
  • Self‑motivated and proactive individual with a team‑player attitude, eager to learn and contribute to the team's collective goals.
  • Proficiency in both German and English at a professional level.
  • Experience in the ESG field is a plus but not mandatory.
