The Role

Over the course of 18 months, you will become a core contributor to Consultport’s commercial growth. This is a fast‑paced, high‑impact role where you will build and own relationships with C‑level executives, lead strategic projects, and, by the end of the program, you’ll have a robust commercial skill set that sets you apart in the job market.

What You’ll Do:
  • Build and manage your own book of business, developing client relationships and identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching to negotiating and closing deals.
  • Collaborate closely with our consultant network to design custom project solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Lead projects between clients and top‑tier freelance consultants across industries and geographies.
  • Gain exposure to a broad array of industries including digital transformation, strategy, private equity, and operations.
  • Work directly with senior leadership, gaining deep commercial insight and mentoring throughout.
What the next 18 months would look like for you:
  1. Business Development Trainee (0-6 months): Learn the fundamentals of consulting, develop relationships with consultants, and enhance your communication skills.
  2. Business Development Coordinator (6-12 months): Collaborate on project management and stakeholder engagement, supervising consultant‑client matching processes.
  3. Business Development Associate (12-18 months): Take ownership of business growth, manage your own book of business, and run projects end‑to‑end with top‑tier clients and consultants.
  4. And Beyond: You have the chance to convert to a permanent employee with us at Consultport, and continue your journey with us.
Your Profile
  • About to graduate / recently graduated from a top university in Business, Communications, Economics or a similar field.
  • Strong academic record and demonstrated ability to learn quickly and perform at a high level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to commit to the full 18‑month program.
  • Min. 6 months of prior work experience preferably in sales, consulting, or a start‑up environment.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin for an onsite role
  • Must be fluent in German and English
