We're looking for a Backend Engineer who cares deeply about privacy, security, and trust, with a strong background in architecting scalable and secure systems. You should be comfortable designing and developing high-performance APIs and services, and have a track record of owning large features from ideation to production. Bonus points if you have familiarity with the KYC & identity verification space, real-world cryptography/systems security, or extensive experience with Rust.

What you'll do:

• Design and develop high-performance APIs and services that power the Footprint platform.

• Work closely with design and frontend engineers to architect and deliver product features end-to-end.

• Be a strong contributor to the overall product vision and team planning.

• Own large features and product areas all the way from ideation through execution and production.

• Write production Rust code
