Your impact at MUFG

You will work as an Associate of the JCBD, which is intended to support business promotion of Account Officers related with Japanese corporates, controlling customer bank accounts according to regulations and compliance rules, with a particular focus on observing the whole KYC procedure. Additionally, you will take care of daily banking business tasks for Japanese corporate clients.

The role includes the following functions:
Responsibilities for credit business:
  • Short term and long term loans, including securitization transactions;
  • Negotiation for rates of loans;
  • Export and import finances;
  • Foreign exchange transactions and derivatives;
  • Control of overdrafts;
  • Calculation of special interest for applied customers;
  • Supporting due date control for the parent L/Gs.
Responsibilities for non-credit business:
  • Deposits (Negotiation for rates for fixed deposits);
  • Supporting CMS Department regarding online-banking products;
  • Supporting cash pooling services;
  • Supporting Remittance Department regarding domestic and foreign transactions;
  • Responding to customer’s inquiries related with banking services.
Other responsibilities:
  • Application for future value remittance and special conditions;
  • Instructing registration & amendment of CIF for OVS;
  • Other tasks as required to support business promotion and administration.
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
  • Preferred is an apprenticeship as a bank clerk or other commercial area, if combined with relevant work experience in a bank;
  • Business fluent in English, Japanese language skills are highly preferred and German skills would be a plus;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Negotiation skills with customers (related to loan conditions, deposits, etc.);
  • Customer-oriented approach to provide banking services such as Forex, Import/Export Finance, CMS, Pooling, and remittance transactions.
