Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, providing accurate information and referrals related to community services.
  • Manage the Lending Closet, which includes issuing, receiving, and maintaining inventory of household items for military families.
  • Register clients for ACS classes and events, confirm their attendance, and handle any cancellations or rescheduling as necessary.
  • Assist with the in-processing and out-processing of military service members and their families, ensuring they receive the necessary information and resources.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including record-keeping, filing, and updating information in the ACS database.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service, whether in person at the front desk, over the phone, or through email communication.
Requirements
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds due to the physical demands of managing the Lending Closet.
  • At least one year of experience in providing information and referrals within a military or community service setting.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively convey information and respond to client inquiries both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
