Kamloops Public Health is responsible for delivering core programs in health improvement, disease prevention, injury prevention, health emergency management, and environmental health. Our Speech-Language Pathology clinic serves children in and around the community.
The Early Childhood Development (ECD) S-LP works with children from birth to school entry from diverse cultural backgrounds and their caregivers. Responsibilities include screening, assessment, intervention, coaching, and education in speech, language, and communication. The role involves collaboration with professionals from the Ministry of Children & Family Development (MCFD), Ministry of Education (MoE), and local community organizations. The work schedule is flexible, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, totaling 18.75 hours per week.
