A government entity in Prince Edward Island is looking for a skilled individual experienced in drywall installation and finishing. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, applying plaster, and installing drywall sheets. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and experience handling physically demanding tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. Candidates must be available to work on-site without remote options.
Qualifications
- 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Responsabilités
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
- Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.
- Clean and prepare surfaces.
- Install metal corner beads.
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids.
- Finish corners and angles with decorative designs.
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
- Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency.
- Smooth out excess compound and allow to dry.
- Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
