The Assistant Track Supervisor leads operations within an assigned territory, focusing on track inspection and repairs. This role involves replacing rails, ties, switches, and ballasts, and provides daily support to the Track Supervisor.
This role involves working both in an office environment and outdoors under various weather conditions, including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel up to 50% across the territory may be required with little notice. The position demands meeting tight deadlines, handling stress, and responding to emergencies. The ability to lift up to 70 lbs is necessary.
