A major industrial contractor is seeking a Mechanical Field Coordinator in Canada, primarily for nuclear projects. You will lead health and safety initiatives on site, coordinate subcontractor operations, and ensure quality in engineering work. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of field experience and a degree in mechanical engineering or construction management. As a Mechanical Field Coordinator, you will be expected to be a job-site leader in health and safety, ensuring quality of reporting and workmanship, and that all engineering work is completed in a professional and ethical manner. Reporting to a Project Engineer or Project Manager, your main functions will include contract administration, project planning, scheduling, and project reporting. This role plays an advisory role to Project Management for contractual, legal, and other project issues.
Kiewit Energy Canada is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. We are a major industrial contractor that work on projects that involve construction of oil & gas facilities such as oil sands processing, including steam–assisted gravity drainage facilities, upgrading & refining, midstream facilities, power & co-generation, terminal projects (ex. LNG, LPG, etc.), and major mine developments. We also have a Modular Yard facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Our engineering branch is a leading-edge division that offers innovative engineering services for our current projects and new pursuits in Canada. Our design services group are based in Calgary and Houston offering expertise in process, piping, mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural disciplines.
We have several opportunities on projects across Canada. Our immediate need is for our Nuclear project in the Oshawa, ON area. The successful candidate will be willing to relocate to this area for the duration of this assignment, after which their next assignment may be anywhere in Alberta, BC, and beyond.
