Job summary
A legal recruitment agency is seeking an experienced lawyer for an in-house role in Calgary. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience with a focus on corporate law, particularly in the oil and gas sector. Responsibilities include providing legal support across various corporate matters and ensuring compliance. Candidates must have previous in-house experience, especially dealing with Master agreements and cargo issues.
Qualifications

- Exposure to Master agreements and compliance work is beneficial.

Our client is the Canadian arm of an international organization, and their General Counsel is now looking for a 4 – 7 year lawyer for the legal team.
This is a generalist in-house position where you’ll he assisting across a broad spectrum of legal and business matters. Having said that, they are looking for a lawyer with a broad corporate law oil & gas background, or specific experience in commodities or oil & gas trading.
You will need to have previous in-house experience already. Any prior exposure to Master agreements, compliance work, cargo issues, or the crude oil industry would be well-regarded.
