Job Title: Technical Consultant – Cloud & Modern Workplace Migrations

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000

Location: Hybrid (Reigate / Surrey office + remote flexibility)

We are seeking a technically skilled and client-focused Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services team. This role bridges pre-sales and delivery, with a strong focus on cloud migrations, modern workplace enablement, and infrastructure transformation.

You’ll collaborate with clients to shape technical solutions during the sales cycle, then lead successful implementations that deliver real business value. Combining expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure, and modern workplace technologies, you will play a key role in helping clients transition to secure, scalable, and collaborative environments.

This is a hands-on consultancy position requiring strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into robust, future-ready solutions.

• Collaborate with pre-sales teams to design cloud migration and modern workplace proposals, ensuring they are commercially viable and technically sound.
• Engage with clients to assess their IT environments, define migration strategies, and shape transformation roadmaps.
• Design and deliver solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) as well as Microsoft 365 environments.
• Lead technical delivery of migrations and deployments, ensuring success within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Deliver Microsoft 365 and Modern Work projects (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Autopilot, Defender).
• Support infrastructure upgrades, networking, management, and endpoint security.
• Produce documentation, deliver workshops, and manage smooth handovers to managed services teams.
• Act as the technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining strong client relationships.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and automation approaches (DevOps, scripting, cloud- services).

• Proven experience delivering cloud migrations and modern workplace projects within an IT services or MSP environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure (AWS and GCP beneficial).
• Solid grounding in Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, virtualization, and security.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Autopilot, Defender).
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and client-facing skills.
• Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, and leading delivery teams.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-104, MS-102, MD-102, AWS Solutions Architect).
• Experience with hybrid environments, legacy infrastructure transformation, and automation (PowerShell, DevOps).
