Job Description :

We are searching for an experienced and passionate professional leader. As the VP of Marketing, you and your talented team and will be responsible for all aspects of marketing including strategic direction, brand development, consumer experience, quality assurance, francization, digital and print creative, and e-commerce performance.

The successful candidate will have advanced capabilities and expertise in marketing tactics and will be responsible for sales growth and customer acquisition.

Reporting to the President, you will be a key member of Lee Valley’s senior leadership team and participate in driving operational excellence in a highly collaborative environment.

As the Vice President, Marketing, you are a strategic thinker and comfortable with managing both big picture opportunities and the details that facilitate effective execution.

As the VP, Marketing you will...

• Be responsible for the vision, strategy and execution of the overall marketing function and the operations that support multiple lines of business.
• Have a passion for creating and developing dynamic customer experience.
• Identify and manage strategic and tactical priorities while working with merchandising, operations, customer service and technology groups to drive results.
• Partner with internal teams and vendors to ensure requirements are understood and interpreted appropriately for quality delivery and execution.
• Communicatecomplex situations in clear presentations for senior leadership
• Foster a work environment consistent with the core values of Lee Valley.
• Champion a diverse and inclusive team environment while mentoring a strong team of marketing professionals
• Lead the implementation of category specific strategies to support successful advertising, digital marketing campaigns
• Use KPI’s and tracking systems to measure marketing and brand performance against targets.

As an experienced professional, you will have :

• A proven track record with at least 10+ years of progressive leadership in marketing and e-commerce, with the last five years working at a senior level.
• A bachelor’s or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, or other related fields
• Strong oral and written skills
• Extensive experience running a marketing department for a medium to large retail business with a proven success record.
• Experience managing & optimizing digital marketing platforms, social media, content creation, and industry-specific marketing channels.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to build teams
• Collaborate with product development and merchandising teams to ensure marketing initiatives support new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and special projects.
• Use market research, customer insights, and industry analytics to understand customer needs, preferences, and emerging trends
• Must have strong proficiency using Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and ability to leverage required tools supporting the Marketing functions.
