Responsibilities
- Lead the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing of the project.
- Identify project tasks and resource requirements working with the project team.
- Plan, schedule, and manage project timelines, dependencies, and milestones through the use of a project plan.
- Identify, assemble and coordinate project resources.
- Prepare and manage project budget.
- Use various project management tools and software applications to proactively track, monitor and control project deliverables.
- Manage the triple constraint (time vs. scope vs. cost).
- Prioritize and delegate project tasks, providing timely direction and support to the project team on a day-to-day basis.
- Proactively manage project risks, including the identification of mitigation strategies.
- Perform project reporting & communications (Including weekly status updates and/or Exec Steering Committee meetings).
- Challenge performance gaps of project team members and provide coaching/mentoring support.
- Facilitate meetings and design workshops, testing activities, and post go-live support keeping a keen eye on quality.
Qualifications- 5 - 8 years proven experience in a project management role in system implementation.
- 2 - 3 years experience in implementing Technology solutions in Supply Chain, especially in warehousing (i.e. SAP WM, Manhattan, JDA), transportation, replenishment, preferably in an Omnichannel Retail environment.
- Solid supply chain knowledge, especially in Logistics.
- Ability to work independently, deal with ambiguity, and shift gears very quickly with changing priorities.
- Strong focus on on-time, on-budget, on-scope delivery, targeting excellent customer/client service.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to influence.
- Ability to engage with Director/VP level at both external clients and internal clients (i.e. operations) during projects.
- Strong planning, organizational and keen attention to detail, but also able to see the big picture.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment; some experience managing staff is an asset.
- University degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent) in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent.
- PMP certified or working towards designation.
- Proficient in MS Project.
- TRAVEL: Required to various sites across the GTA.
- May occasionally be required to work off hours (evenings/weekends) to meet project commitments.
