Computer Technician à Canada

Compensation : $23 – $30 / hour (full-time / permanent). This range is based on experience and the interview with the hiring manager.

The Job – Lead Water Damage Technician

At On Side, Lead Water Damage Technicians (WDTs) lead the team, responding to water-related emergencies such as burst pipes, blocked drains, sewer backups, and other disasters.

Understanding the urgency of these situations and working with customers in a caring, calm, and empathetic manner are essential for success.

Working as a team, WDTs clean up the mess to ensure everything is restored to its pre-disaster state.

A Lead WDT brings a proactive, 'get it done!' attitude and a host of relevant abilities.

Additional abilities include :

• Leadership experience and ability to lead a team
• Experience with drying tools (air movers, negative air machines, pressurized drying systems, floor drying systems, dehumidifiers)
• Knowledge of structural drying procedures
• IICRC S-Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration certification
• Ability to perform structural drying assessments per IICRC guidelines
• Ability to complete multi-unit structural drying assessments
• Organized with good time management and tool familiarity
• Physically fit
• Safety-first mindset
• Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record
• Proficiency in written and spoken English

Relevant industry experience (not mandatory) that can contribute to success includes roles such as Water Damage Manager, lead hand, Water Damage Technician, plumber, janitor, vac truck operator, or technician.

Additional skills that would be advantageous but are not required include :

• Knowledge of 3D Imaging

Of Note

Disasters can occur at any time, so a rotating schedule including 24/7 after-hours on-call work is required.
