Position Overview:
Askuity is a Toronto-based retail analytics software company operating as a division within The Home Depot (THD). Through our supplier analytics program, Askuity’s mission is to enable suppliers and merchants at The Home Depot to make profitable, data-driven decisions and drive real-time execution.

We are looking for a creative and user-focused UX Designer to join the Fusion team, Home Depot’s Business Intelligence (BI) tool for suppliers. In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive, data-driven experiences that enable suppliers to gain actionable insights efficiently. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to enhance usability and ensure a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI mock-ups that improve the Fusion user experience.
2. Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to iterate on designs.
3. Ensure consistency and accessibility across all design components.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and business requirements.
5. Work closely with data scientists to visualize complex data insights in an intuitive and actionable manner.
6. Advocate for user-centered design principles in product development discussions.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the product.

Travel Requirements:
Limited travel to corporate headquarters annually, as requested.

Hybrid Work:
On-site Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at our downtown Toronto location (King/Spadina).

Working Conditions:
Working in an office setting: computer work, camera on virtual meetings, taking support calls.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Minimum Years of Work Experience:
2+ years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in data visualization or business intelligence tools. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.

Minimum Leadership Experience:
No leadership experience required.

Certifications:
None.

Other Requirements/Assets:
Experience in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Strong understanding of information architecture, accessibility, and interaction design. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. Knowledge of and experience defining best practices for web and mobile. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders around the best practices and value of human user-centered design principles. Experience working in an agile software development environment.
