Job Description

As a Maintenance & Reliability Team Lead at Sunbury Transport, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and cost effectiveness of our truck and trailer fleet. You will apply engineering principles to improve performance, develop maintenance strategies, and reduce equipment downtime.


Responsibilities

  1. Lead Sunbury’s Maintenance Planning team’s work order process to deliver target cost per mile (CPM) while reducing equipment downtime.
  2. Develop and implement maintenance strategies based on reliability-centered maintenance principles.
  3. Collaborate with Operations and Vendors to execute Preventative Maintenance programs to improve the reliability and safety of equipment.
  4. Analyze maintenance data and equipment performance to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  5. Oversee new product pilot testing and make recommendations on new equipment or components to improve fleet performance.
  6. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring technical failures.
  7. Train maintenance planners on reliability best practices and procedures.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in reliability engineering or maintenance within the transportation industry.
  3. Leadership experience in a fleet maintenance facility is an asset.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent leadership and change management abilities.
  6. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
