Job Description

Candidates are invited to apply for the position at Extendicare Michener Hill, a continuing care facility located in Red Deer, Alberta. This facility offers 220 Continuing Care beds and 60 Designated Assisted Living Beds.

Reporting to: Director of Care

Registered nurses utilize critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to provide compassionate and safe patient care.

7. Delegation skills
8. Specialty skills (e.g., IV therapy, Palliative care)
9. Computer proficiency
10. Knowledge in wound management, infection control, dementia care, least restraint, and zero lift practices
11. Completion of an accredited nursing education program
12. Active or eligible registration with CARNA
13. Minimum 1 year LTC experience
14. 1–2 years clinical experience
15. Supervisory experience
16. Experience with MDS 2.0
17. Familiarity with PointClickCare

CPR and First Aid Certification are considered assets.
