We are currently seeking Health Care Aides to join our team. The role involves providing hands-on personal care services, light housekeeping, meal service assistance, and participation in social-recreational activities.

Please note: This is a Temporary position for Summer 2025.

1. Perform light housekeeping in resident suites and common areas.
2. Support personal care activities such as dressing, bathing, and managing incontinence.
3. Assist with simple transfers and respond to medical emergencies calmly.
4. Support resident laundry and meal service as needed.
5. Follow Care Plans and report any changes or concerns.
6. Work with residents to meet their care requirements.
7. Demonstrate ongoing competence using knowledge, skills, judgment, and evidence-based practices in caring for aging adults.
8. Ensure compliance with provincial continuing care health service standards, legislation, codes, regulations, and safety statutes.
9. Maintain awareness of accident and injury prevention through safe work practices.
10. Perform other duties as assigned to support operational requirements.

1. Completion of provincial Health Care Aide certification.
2. Registration with provincial health care registry.
3. Experience in a residential care setting is preferred.
4. Demonstrate infection control procedures.
5. Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors, and operational partners.
6. Superior organizational skills to handle multiple resident requests.
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
8. Ability to prioritize and problem-solve effectively.
9. Flexibility to work various shifts.
10. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds.
11. Display compassion, proficiency, and experience in assisting residents.

• Completion of CPR and First Aid.
