Based in Calgary, Edmonton, or Saskatoon, this full-time role is your chance to lead and contribute to high-impact water resources, hydrotechnical, and mining projects that support resilient communities and sustainable development.

Your Impact
  • Lead and deliver hydraulic modelling (1D, 2D, and 3D) and open-channel hydraulics solutions for major infrastructure and environmental projects.
  • Drive dam breach modelling and assessments, including Newtonian and non-Newtonian flow regimes, to support risk-informed decision-making.
  • Design and assess water management infrastructure—flood mitigation systems, water intakes, pump stations, and hydraulic structures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver watershed management, flood mapping, and environmental compliance solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, safety leadership, and innovation.
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • 5–10 years of experience in hydraulic modelling and hydrotechnical engineering, with a focus on open-channel hydraulics and dam breach assessments.
  • Proficient in hydraulic modelling tools and techniques; experience with water management infrastructure design is a strong asset.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering; eligible for immediate registration with APEGA, APEGS, or NAPEG as a Professional Engineer.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, manage budgets and timelines, and build strong client relationships.
  • Passionate about delivering sustainable, community-focused solutions and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
