Job Description

US Vietnam Talent International School is seeking the Vietnamese Secondary Teacher (Teaching IGCSE, A-level: Science/Mathematics) to join our UTS community. Job Responsibilities
1/ Teaching Responsibilities
  • Participate in developing teaching plans according to the curriculum distribution and determine individual educational and teaching tasks linked with the School Year Implementation Plan of the school and the academic team.
  • Develop teaching activities that clearly reflect objectives, content, and educational methods, ensuring feasibility and suitability with student characteristics, circumstances, and real conditions to promote progress for both the class as a whole and individual students.
  • Compile and design lessons, organize classes suitable for teaching objectives; manage classes and handle pedagogical situations effectively. Also develop teaching plans in accordance with the national education program and the UTS student competency framework.
  • Build a system of supplemental learning materials; improve and assess the teaching and learning process to ensure student progress; effectively carry out enrichment and learning support for students.
  • Prepare exam papers and build an item bank; implement testing, supervise, and evaluate learning outcomes periodically (weekly, monthly, semester, and school year).
  • Effectively perform learning support activities for students.
  • Report regularly or unexpectedly on student learning progress to the School Leadership; propose solutions/action plans and coordinate implementation.
  • Be an ambassador for UTS Core Values – Integrity, Respect, Courage, Contribution, Lifelong Learning, and Creativity; actively integrate these core values into teaching and student education.
2/ Homeroom Responsibilities (if Assigned) And Student Education
  • Carry out educational activities according to the established plan approved by the School Leadership.
  • Closely coordinate with parents, teachers in the grade level, and relevant social organizations to organize educational activities and support and supervise the learning and development of homeroom students.
  • Build close relationships and exchange information between the school and parents as per regulations.
  • Coordinate the implementation of extracurricular activities and clubs to build character and develop student talents.
  • Support students emotionally, mentally, and psychologically to create a happy, safe, dedicated, and creative learning environment for all students.
3/ Research and Development
  • Perform professional tasks as assigned by the Vice Principal or Mentor Teacher.
  • Participate in assigned class observations, provide feedback, and share experience with subject team colleagues.
  • Develop teaching plans that effectively integrate various teaching methods, including project-based learning; develop supplemental academic materials and create teaching tools.
  • Take every opportunity to develop professional knowledge and skills through professional training programs, in-house training, or workshops both inside and outside the school.
4/ Administrative Work and Compliance with School Policies
  • Attend team/department/school meetings to receive updates on rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Understand and comply with departmental and school regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Participate in organizing school events and activities.
  • Actively support the school’s recruitment and admissions efforts.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the School Leadership.
Job Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or higher in a relevant teaching major (or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major with a teaching/pedagogical certificate)
  • Preference given to candidates holding a Master degree
  • Current international qualification / certification in teaching area.
  • An IELTS certificate with a score of 7.5 or higher.
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience of full time teaching at a progressive and/or international school community.
  • Experience with IB, IPC, Cambridge, or specific curriculum framework is highly desirable (for International Program).
  • Understanding of effective teaching and learning theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children through classroom organization, differentiation and learning strategies.
  • Effective use of technology to support teaching and learning.
