Job description

Weed Man / YardMaster Saskatoon is seeking a Vegetation Management Technician to join our team. The role is based at our Saskatoon office and involves providing professional vegetation control through herbicide application for industrial clients in the Saskatoon area. While vegetation control is seasonal, we offer year-round employment assisting with our other businesses, Christmas Decor and Truly Nolen Pest Control.

This is a full-time, permanent position with an anticipated start date in mid-late March. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with 8-10 hour days. The starting wage ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience, plus overtime.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Class 5 SK Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening test
  • Physically fit, able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Prior experience is an asset but not required
Responsibilities:
  • Operate herbicide application equipment to provide vegetation control
  • Communicate effectively with customers as the frontline contact
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Keep track of time and product usage
  • Maintain cleanliness of truck and equipment
  • Handle, mix, transport, and apply chemicals safely and knowledgeably
  • Complete daily work, paperwork, and administrative tasks
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Assist with pest control and Christmas light installation during off-season
