Responsibilities
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Maintain professionalism in customer service.
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Oversee condition of vehicle, including inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
