Job summary

A transportation company in Peel Region, Mississauga is seeking a Truck Driver for a permanent, full-time position with an hourly rate of $36.10 for 30 hours per week. Responsibilities include route planning, loading and unloading goods, vehicle inspections, and performing maintenance duties. Responsibilities
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
