We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Truck Drivers (Class 1/A) to join our growing team at Crosspoint Cartage & Storage Ltd. Based in Rocky View, AB, you will be responsible for transporting goods across short-haul and long-haul routes while ensuring compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company standards.

Requirements

• Languages: English
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Experience an asset
• Licence: Class 1 or A (mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
• Mountain driving expertise
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
• Perform preventive maintenance
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
