  • Complete documentation for HSE, Quality, and Operations.
  • Inspect and disassemble transformer units.
  • Reassemble active parts using technical drawings and reference images.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical connections.
  • Prepare components for dry-out and manage oven operations.
  • Conduct final inspections and re-tank units.
  • Assemble units for final tests and shipment.
  • Operate cranes and forklifts to move components safely.
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards.

This role offers a dynamic work environment with a rotating shift schedule and the chance to work on cutting-edge equipment. Shift Schedule

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Afternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

(Alternating every two weeks)

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Complete documentation for HSE, Quality, and Operations
  • Inspect and disassemble transformer units
  • Reassemble active parts using technical drawings and reference images
  • Perform mechanical and electrical connections (e.g., brazing, crimping, bolting)
  • Prepare components for dry‑out and manage oven operations
  • Conduct final inspections and re‑tank units
  • Assemble units for Final Test and shipment
  • Operate cranes and forklifts to move components safely
  • Ensure all work meets industry standards for transformer repair
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Your Background
  • College certificate in a technical program or Grade 12 diploma
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in transformer repair or industrial electrical equipment
  • Strong knowledge of transformer components, insulation systems, and winding techniques
  • Valid certification or proven experience in crane and forklift operation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada
