Job description
Overview

The ERP Program is seeking a Training Specialist to support the development and delivery of end-user training as part of a large-scale enterprise system transformation at Nova Scotia Power. Reporting to the Training Lead, the Training Specialist will help plan, coordinate, and deliver learning solutions that prepare employees for new systems, processes, and ways of working. This role is ideal for someone with experience in training design and delivery, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about helping others succeed through change.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting the development and execution of the ERP training strategy and plan
  • Assisting in identifying training needs across business units in collaboration with subject matter experts
  • Creating and maintaining training materials, including manuals, job aids, presentations, and eLearning content
  • Coordinating logistics for training sessions (virtual and in-person), including scheduling, enrolment, and communications
  • Delivering instructor-led training sessions and / or train-the-trainer workshops as required
  • Tracking training attendance, feedback, and completion metrics to monitor effectiveness
  • Maintaining training content repositories and supporting version control and updates
  • Gathering user feedback to identify gaps or areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with the Change Management, Communications, and Business Readiness teams to ensure alignment of messaging and support
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in training development and delivery, preferably within a project or systems environment
  • Experience designing and delivering training for business systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS) is an asset
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with eLearning tools
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of utilities, ERP, or large-scale transformation projects considered an asset
