Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Thermal Operating Technician at our Lennox facility in Bath, Ontario.
Under the direction of the Chief Operating Engineer and supervision of the Thermal Operating Supervisor/Shift Engineer, the Thermal Operating Technician is responsible for carrying out all operating, monitoring, and reporting activities, common and auxiliary equipment and systems associated with large high-pressure boilers and turbo-alternator units to meet station procedural and regulatory compliance. This role will be primarily on a rotating shift basis.
When required, the Thermal Operating Technician will perform the function of Assistant Shift Engineer as defined by Operating Engineers Regulation.
*Candidates pursuing or that hold a 2nd class OE Certificate are highly desirable
