Therapy Assistant – Transfer to Assess Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Transfer to Assess Team.

We are looking for a Therapy Assistant to work 7.5 hours a day across a 5‑day week for a fixed term until 06.04.26 to cover maternity leave.

The post holder will be working within the Transfer to Assess Team and will support the Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists in providing treatment and rehabilitation interventions to patients.

Main duties of the job
  • Assist the Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapists to deliver treatment programmes to patients
  • Clerical and administrative work, including computers
  • Housekeeping duties

You will be expected to have a good standard of general education including maths, English and basic computer skills. Recent and relevant experience in a health care setting is essential. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will show a good awareness of patients needs. We are looking for someone who is flexible and enthusiastic. This is a physically demanding role.

It is essential to be able to show initiative, to work effectively without direct supervision and to take responsibility for delegated duties, under the guidance of a Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist.
